The Freaks by Bob Hund and Sebastian Murphy

I'd never heard of the band Bob Hund, the song The Freaks, nor Freddie Wadling—who originally performed it with band Cortex in 1983. This week I was fortunate to accidentally become aware of all these things, when I came across a cover of the track by Bob Hund with Sebastian Murphy—of Viagra Boys—for Swedish television.

What a lovely performance this is. I can't help but draw parallels with Viagra Boys' Creatures from their 2021 record Welfare Jazz.

A cool and weird new track from Squid. A bit reminiscent of Django Django's wicked 2023 track Black Cadillac with a steelpan kinda sound at times that reminds me of I Think I Lost My Headache by Queens of the Stone Age.

Thinking's not a cardinal sin. But there's a danger that lingers with every powering synapse.

FKA twigs' new record Eusexua has been a really enjoyable listen. It's vibrant and colourful with moments that feel like they come simultaneously from the years 2002 and 2032.
