MUSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!
I started writing this post while I was still putting the site together, so its publication is a little delayed.
It's been a good week for new music. So good that I finally decided to buy a domain name for fridayclub (actually, I bought two domain names) and make the blog happen. So, here it is: the worst website I've ever created.
Sleaford Mods and Hot Chip released a proper good collaboration, Goat Girl released the dark and synthy gossip, and Kendrick Lamar surprised with the release of GNX. We even got an official release of some b-sides from Bloc Party's classic A Weekend in the City.

There are many great lyrics on this record, but I like the bit where Kendrick yells MUSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!

What a year for Kendrick.

gossip by Goat Girl
I loved Goat Girl's record Below the Waste, released earlier this year. Synthy, dark, hypnotic. gossip was put together during the recording of that record and feels like a moody, electronic extension of it.
You got a lovely cat, puss.

Thanks, I guess.

Sleaford Mods. Hot Chip. I didn't know I needed this, but I did. A proper good track I can't not dance to.
You can watch a video about the collaboration here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8k61Kz0L9I.
People need hurting, and I'm the geezer.

I promise I'm not actually a violent guy.

I remember the exact train journey I was on when I first listened to the fan collection of A Weekend in the City b-sides known as Another Weekend in the City. Years later, much of that music is still rattling around my brain making me feel things.
